Abstract
The choice of distributed applications' hosting devices has an influence on applications' performance and hardware resource consumption. In this presentation, we introduce our preliminary solution to make such choices to place applications in Combined Fog-Cloud Computing. The following aspects will be presented:
- advantage and challenge introduced by Fog-Cloud Computing
- our model of the infrastructure and applications
- our placement algorithm which aims to minimize applications' response time
- evaluation through simulation
Discovery 3rd Plenary Meeting, 30-31 March 2017 ( slides )
